319 Management & Implementation Grant


The Huntington County Soil and Water Conservation District, along with partnering districts of Wabash, Wells, Blackford and Grant County SWCDs, have received an IDEM Section 319 Watershed Management and Implementation Grant for the Lower Salamonie River Watershed (LSRW) area. 


The grant is for a three (3) year term and will provide cost share for the critical one areas in the Lower Salamonie River Watershed area.  See attached maps.  CriticalArea 1 maps.  


 Landowners will be able to apply for a variety of conservation practices that include, but not limited to, filter strips, cover crops, equipment modifications and nutrient management.   For more details about the Cost Share program and a list of conservation practices available through the program, click here: 319 Grant Costshare Brochure 2018.docx
